As photographers, our job is to make the everyday look beautiful. We are skilled at finding pretty locations and the perfect light. But some moments are truly magical all on their own.

Last Thursday (on the second day in May), we woke up to fog and a dusting of snow. Despite our long winter, I felt inspired to capture what was hopefully our last snowfall. After I dropped everyone off at school, Ava and I took a little walk in the river valley. It was foggy and still, the only sound we could hear were the birds chirping in the trees. Ava stood amongst the snow covered ground, softly touching the snow and laughing. It was such a sacred moment, I’m glad I bought my camera along to capture it all.
